The Student Council plays an important role in giving students a voice and helping shape our school community. Made up of two representatives from each class, the council meets weekly to discuss ideas, concerns, and opportunities raised by their peers. Student councillors actively gather student voice from their classes and bring this feedback to meetings, where they work together to turn ideas into meaningful action.
Student Council members are involved in planning and organising a range of school events and initiatives, including fundraising activities such as non-uniform days, Pink Shirt Day, inter-class competitions, and other activities. They help create opportunities for students to connect, celebrate, and contribute to the wider school community.
One of the council's recent achievements was leading the introduction of the school hoodie, which was successfully launched in 2026 following consultation with students and staff. This initiative demonstrated the council's ability to listen to student ideas and work collaboratively to bring them to life.
Student councillors are expected to be positive role models who demonstrate our school values through their actions, leadership, and commitment to serving others. Representatives are selected by their classroom teachers through a process that may include student applications, speeches, or demonstrations of leadership potential.
